Brockies wins 4th Gold in 4 years at Scottish Poomsae Championships

Bradley Brockies storms to victory in Scotland for the fourth time, taking Gold at the Scottish Taekwondo (Poomsae) Championships on September 8th. The 15 year old (P20 class) player now holds the 2019 National Scottish Champion P20 Junior male title.

When asked about what he enjoys most about the Scottish win, Brockies said, “I enjoyed competing and winning gold in Scotland, it is always a well organised competition. I did a pattern I had not performed in competition before (Pyong Won – 5th Dan pattern)”.

Brockies, a 2nd Dan black belt is looking towards his next major competition on the Para-Taekwondo Calendar. The 2019 European Poomsae Championships 2019 is scheduled for October 31st in Bari, Italy.

“I hope a team will be sent so I will be able to defend and hopefully keep my European Champion title”, says Bradley

Representation and selection of the Team is managed by British Taekwondo, who will make a final decision on the GB Team shortly.

The P20 class is for athletes with intellectual impairment. Classification across the UK in all sports is managed and evaluated by the UK Sports Association.
