INAS announces 2016 World Cycling Championships

The 2016 World Cycling Championships will be hosted at the picturesque Racice Sportcentrum in conjunction with the Czech National Cycling Championships from 12th to 16th  June 2016.

The event is an important part of the Inas competition programme, and will provide quality competitive opportunities for the best athletes with intellectual disability from across the world. INAS and ČSMPS are also building on the growing number of cyclist who have an intellectual disability that entered into last year’s Global Games.

Vladimir Slavik, Czech Cycling Director and head of the Local Organising Committee said, “We are proud to bring the INAS World Cycling Championships back to Racice.  The athletes have been training hard since last year’s Global Games and we hope to be able to build on the success we had here in 2014.”

Tracey McCillen, Chief Executive of UK Sports Association said, “ Although, there isn’t a developed pathway in Britain for athletes to the Inas Cycling Championships, I hope that British Cycling and UKSA can work together in the future to ensure a British team at the Inas World event.

‘UKSA wishes Inas and the LOC every best wish for a successful event.’
