UK Sports Association announces new partnership with Tactic Counsel

The UK Sports Association for People with Learning Disability (UKSA) is pleased to announce its new partnership with Tactic Counsel, an organisation that specialises in gaining quick and efficient commercial success for clubs, teams, individuals and sports organisations.

Tactic Counsel is supporting UKSA with a variety of projects, including the newly launched ‘engage! workshop’ series, which is showcasing British sports stars with learning disability and  taking place from this November onwards across the UK.

Tracey McCillen, Chief Executive, UKSA said: “Working with Tactic Counsel is exciting. Their approach is creative and engaging and I certainly view Tactic Counsel as that critical business friend.

“We are going through a period of change and knowing we have the support and expertise of Tactic Counsel alongside us is very reassuring. Discussions with Tactic Counsel are always thought provoking, but, importantly, they have real and manageable results in mind. They are certainly keeping me on my toes.”

Genevieve Gordon, Chief Executive, Tactic Counsel said: “Tactic Counsel is very much involved in working with UKSA to complement their current role with new opportunities which will allow them to continue to show what amazing work they do and what an important role they fulfil for athletes with learning disability.”

UKSA is happy to welcome Tactic Counsel and hope that the partnership can change the way people see disability sports in the long term.

The engage! workshop series has been launched as part of the My Sport, My Voice! project. Thanks to funding from Spirit of 2012, a trust set up to sustain the spirit and opportunities from the London 2012 Games, My Sport, My Voice! is raising the profile of the UK’s elite athletes with learning disability by providing a platform to showcase their sporting achievements and inspire others to succeed.

The first of eight workshops is taking place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Monday 2nd November. More information on how you can book your place can be found here.

Further workshops are also taking place in the seven other towns and cities, with dates to be announced very soon. So, contact the UK Sports Association now to register your interest in attending in any of the following locations:
