The USA is set to host not one, but two, Inas World Championship in 2016 – the Cross Country Championships and Tennis Championships are both set to be staged in the country next year.

The first event will be the 8th edition to the Inas World Cross Country Championship and is set to be hosted in New York, on the 2nd and 3rd April. Sunken Meadow State Park Cross Country course will be the location for this event and with six of the previous seven editions of the World Cross Country Championships being held in Europe, it will be a first for the event to be in the Americas.

Barry Holman, Co-Founder of Athletes Without Limits, the USA member organisation of INAS, is delighted to be hosting the event on home soil.

He said: “Over the past five years Athletes Without Limits has taken US athletes to dozens of Inas championships. We are very proud to bring the first-ever Inas World Championships to the United States.”

Bethany Beach, Delaware will play host to the 7th edition of the INAS World Tennis Championships from the 12th to 18th July. The event will be located at Sea Colony Beach and Tennis Resort, which boasts 34 tennis courts and back in 2012 was voted US Tennis Association Outstanding Facility of the Year.

Tracey McCillen, CEO of UKSA, congratulated Athletes Without Limits on its success at obtaining the championships.

She said: “I would like to congratulate Athlete Without Limits on their success at being awarded both events in 2016 and I’d like to wish them every success in hosting the Championships.”
