Want to be a Sports Reporter at the BBC?

The BBC Kick Off Trainee Sports Reporter scheme is open for applications. It is open for everyone to apply. If you are interested in working at the BBC and are interested in sport then this might be for you.

 You need to be aged 18 before the start of the scheme. There are no other age limitations.
 A proven passion for sport.
 A willingness to further your career in sports journalism.
 You don’t need to have any prior journalism experience or training to apply.

BBC want to give talented people from lots of different backgrounds the chance to learn sports reporting skills at the BBC. They will get you interviewing sports stars and attending events to help you learn

– How to be a sports reporter
– How to produce radio programmes

They have placements available in July and August. The placements are for 2 days per week, for a total of 5 weeks. There are different venues all over the UK available.
